As the Microsoft Grader Projects become available, the due date for them will be Friday, December 4th, 2015 by 12:00 noon. Since you do have up to five submission attempts, do your very best on these!
We were just talking about IPv4 and IPv6 the other day in class. Today, I came across this article worth sharing: [ its-official-north-america-is-out-of-new-ipv4-addresses.html ]
Everyone who had done their lab assignments before 11:10AM on September 16th, 2015 has had their 50% mark down removed. Found that there is an oddity with MyITLab, even though I have set the localized timezone to Pacific Time, all of the times on the due dates for some reason stick to Eastern Time. So, what happened was 11:10AM to the system was really 8:10AM, the quick fix I did was to set the due date time to 2:10PM which is 11:10AM Pacific Time (this does not mean the lab assignments are due at 2:10PM, but 11:10AM our time - 2:10PM on the East Coast).
When there are assignments assigned, they will be found in the file: rcc.cis1a.FA15.assignments.html
They will be in the order from top to bottom, the newest assignments to the oldest assignments.
We will meet for our discussion in MLK 220 on Wednesday September 9th, 2015. The discussion will be on Chapters 4/5, and ensuring that everyone is able to get into MyITLab.

Slight change in the language of assignment due dates in order to work with the TBA lab. All assignments will be due no later than 11:59PM on the Wednesday of the week after being assigned. For example, an assignment assigned during the week of September 7th, will be due on Wednesday, September 16th (You will be given a little bit more than a week to work on the assignment).
Students who have not completed the minimum ONE hour of MLK lab time, need to complete the ONE hour before 11:00AM on September 11th. Anyone with less than ONE hour logged into the lab by Friday, September 11th will find their lab grade greatly reduced at the end of the semester!
For a sense of clarity, your laboratory assignments in MyITLab is the end of chapter quizzes. You complete the quiz, and I will see what score it has issued you. You also need to send an email after completing the quiz, telling me in about 3 to 4 sentences what you learned from the chapter. The quizzes that are listed on the syllabus that ARE NOT the same quizzes as found in MyITLab, these in class quizzes are based on what we have covered in our discussions.
